When
you first join, we will encourage you start as soon as
possible with an Ice Breaker speech. This is the first speech
in the Competent Communicators manual. The manual consists of
ten speech projects that build to develop "basic" speaking
skills (gestures, vocal variety, etc.) Upon completion of the tenth speech, you will have earned the "CC" (Competent Communicator) award and can start on the advanced manuals. At the same time you are working on your speeches, you will be participating in other roles in the meetings such as timer, grammarian, ah counter, cameraman and evaluator. These roles can count towards earning the "CL" (Competent Leadership) award.
The advanced speaking series allow
you to select an area of speaking that interests you or that
you want to pursue. Listed below are just some of the
available advanced streams. |
